WICHITA — The Barton Community College men’s golf team finished in fifth place at the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference meet.
The Cougars combined for 648 strokes on Monday, placing them 33 strokes behind first-place Dodge City.
Travis Klewno finished in fifth after carding a 154. Barton’s Andrew O’Brate and Chris Ramos of Colby finishedfor 12th place at 162. Timothy Spare tied for 14th with four others.

Lady Cougars top Goodland
GOODLAND — The Barton Community College women’s golf team took first place at the Maverick Invitational on Monday.
The Lady Cougars had enough golfers to bring two teams. The Barton “A” team took first place, shooting a 371. The “B” team finished with 429 strokes and took third place.
Rachel Strecker led the Lady Cougars, shooting an 83 in the 36-hole tournament for third place.
Chelsea Deitz took fifth with 93 strokes. Natashia Hillman, Kaylee Miller, Shanda Thompson and Tera Schremmer all finished in the top 10 for Barton.
