Barton Community College men’s head golf coach Doug Kaiser recently added four northern Kansas golfers to his 2012 incoming freshmen class.  
Phillipsburg High School standouts Kyle Hoover and Brock Morgan, Smith Center’s Alex Hobelmann and Decatur Community’s Garrett Berry recently signed to play golf next fall for the Cougars.  
Hoover earned Class 3A state medalists honors by recording a 78 in the final meet. Hobelmann and Morgan just missed out on the honors, recording a 79 and 83, respectively.  Berry, who competes in 2A, fired an 89 at last year’s state meet, one stroke removed from medalist honors.
In addition to individual honors, Hoover and Morgan helped lead Phillipsburg to a seventh-place finish with a 326.
