Jiro Barriga Toyama and Dominick Swindler were among a quintet of Barton Community College men’s soccer players to be honored the Jayhawk Conference with the pair earning first team All Jayhawk Conference honors.
Renan Sousa was a second team pick while Christopher Hogg and Austin Kail was tabbed honorable mention.
Toyama, a freshman from Japan, was a first team pick at forward in the Jayhawk. He scored three goals and led the Cougars with four assists on the season.
Swindler, a sophomore from Rose Hill High School, was picked as a first team defender. Swindler, in addition to his outstanding play in the backline on defense, netted a pair of goals and had an assist this season.
Sousa, a freshman midfielder from Brazil, tied for the team-lead in goals with seven this season and added three assists to lead the Cougars with 17 points.
Hogg, a sophomore from England, tied with Sousa to lead Barton with seven goals and finished second on the team in points with 14.
Kail, a freshman Tennessee, earned honorable mention honors as the Barton goalkeeper this season. He allowed just 1.2 goals per contest and was part of five shutouts this season.
