Pending Barton Community College Board of Trustess approval on Tuesday, there are two new head coaches joining the athletic program.
Kevin Kewley will look to take over the Cougars soccer team, and Phil Shoemaker is stepping in at the helm for the Lady Cougars' volleyball team. 

Shoemaker will be the fourth Lady Cougars volleyball coach in four seasons. Andrea Rasmussen was the head volleyball coach for one year after working as an assistant coach for both Patrick Hall and Jaime Cabral.
Kewley takes over for Oliver Twelvetrees, who accepted the head coaching position at Brevard Community College in Melbourne, Fla.
The Cougars finished 16-3-1 overall this past season after being eliminated in the National Junior College Athletics Association postseason play by Western Texas.
