KINGMAN — The Great Bend Bat Cats ignited a 21-2 rout over Kingman in a Jayhawk Collegiate baseball game with an 8-run second inning one night after losing to the last-place Islanders.

Great Bend's trio of Jaxon Bunkers, Andrugh Yee and Dylan Sarna each drove home three runs. T.J. Shaw, Cesar Chavira and Chase Chapman each drove home two runs.

In an 8-run second inning, Yee delivered a 2-run double and Shaw ripped a 2-run single. Kirby Orth and Chapman forced home runs on walks. Sarna's hit-by-pitch forced home a run.

In a 4-run fifth inning, Sarna delivered a 2-run single. Chapman doubled home Decarlo Delancy. Sarna scored on a wild pitch.

Bat Cats pitcher Quentin Medrano (2-0) struck out five batters and yielded one hit.

Great Bend (5-1, 4-1 Jayhawk) play a 6 p.m. home doubleheader at Al Burns Memorial Park Thursday against Wichita Factory Phenoms.
