The Barton Community College baseball team scored an 11-1 run-rule victory in the eighth inning on Tuesday over Brown Mackie at Lawson-Biggs Field.
The Cougars struck early, scoring three runs in the top of the first inning on their way to scoring in six of the eight innings.
Barton’s Kord Sanders capped the victory with a bases-loaded, two-run double to end the game in run-rule fashion.
With the non-conference victory Barton improves to 19-12 overall and will take a 5-11 conference record to Concordia this weekend to take on the 2-10 Cloud County Thunderbirds.
The first games on Saturday and Sunday begins at 1 p.m.
