BURLINGTON, Iowa — The Barton Community College men’s golf team slipped in the overall standings on the second day of competition at the NJCAA Division-I Men’s National Championship.
The Cougars carded 10 strokes higher than their opening day score to finish the day with a 48 over par 336 to drop to 21st place.
Dropping from fifth place into a tie for 14th, Jeremie Eloy recorded a seven over par 79 as every Cougar but one dropped in the individual standings.
Freshman Landon Fox also fell in the rankings to an 81st place tie with an 85 while Alex Hobelmann’s 88 dropped him to 106th.
Koby Beougher and Kyle Hoover both improved their second round scores as the freshman Beougher improved three strokes with an 85 to move up to 107th tying Hoover despite an 87 dropping him down the individual standings.
The Cougars will have their second straight day of early tee times as Barton begins today’s third day of competition with the same 7:40 a.m. time.
