BCC sweeps SE Nebraska on Friday

The Barton Community College baseball team swept Southeast Nebraska on Friday in non-conference action at Lawson-Biggs Field.
The Cougars (33-16 overall) blanked Southeast 10-0 in the opening game and 8-1 in game two.
Barton currently sits in third place in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Western Division standings with an 18-10 record.
Seward County leads the West with a 24-8 mark and Colby, which split Friday-Saturday doubleheaders with Hutchinson, is in second place at 19-9.
Barton returns to action on Wednesday. It travels to Arkansas City to take on Cowley in a non-conference nine-inning game.
Last Tuesday, the Cougars beat Cowley 6-1 in a nine-inning non-conference game at home. The Tigers, 37-11 overall, including 28-4 for first place in the Jayhawk East, are ranked No. 10 in the latest National Junior College Athletics Association poll.
