The Barton Community College volleyball team completed a season sweep of Cloud on Wednesday at the Kirkman Athletic Center, beating the Thunderbirds, 25-14, 25-16 and 25-15.
Barton surged ahead to start all three games of the best-of-five match.
BCC improved to 19-6 overall, 6-4 in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference.
Rainey Okeson got a kill to end the first game, 25-14.
“Offensively, we did a much better job hitting the ball tonight then we did last night,” Lady Cougars head coach Jaime Cabral said. “We had five hitting errors tonight, total, and last night, we had 13 hitting errors.”
The Thunderbirds hurt themselves in the second and third game by a double-contact violation and an out-of-bounds shot, respectively.
Julianna de Barros, Gabriela Oliveira and Brittany Hughes each had an ace in the Lady Cougars shutout.
“We did a great job adjusting to what they were giving us, defensively,” Cabral said. “Our kids did a lot better tonight, taking care of the ball.”
The Lady Cougars beat Cloud at home on Tuesday during a rescheduled match, 25-16, 25-18 and 25-18.
