Barton Community College freshman Aaron Gile was recently named to the All-Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Western Division honorable mention baseball team.
Gile was the lone Cougars player to make an all-conference team as Barton finished 15-34 on the season.
Playing third base and batting in the heart of the lineup, Gile led Barton in three major offensive categories.
The Lawrence native led the team in batting average (.390) on-base percentage (.479) and slugging percentage (.627). He had 46 hits, including five triples and 12 doubles.
