EL DORADO — The Butler Community College Grizzlies, the defending National Junior College Athletic Association runner-up, was shut out in the first half of their season-opening football game with Dodge City on Saturday evening at BG Products Veterans Coliseum.

But the powerhouse Grizzlies regrouped at halftime and rolled to a 41-6 victory over the Conquistadors in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference lid-lifter for both.

Three Great Bend High School products played in the game, which was televised on Cox 22, including Butler starting offensive guard Tyler Uselton, a sophomore, and Dodge City freshmen Josh Lopez and Bryce Hofmeister.
