MANHATTAN — Kansas State football fans have stepped up for a third-straight season as athletics officials announced Thursday that all tickets to Saturday’s Family Reunion matchup with Eastern Kentucky are sold out.
The capacity crowd at Bill Snyder Family Stadium will be the third-straight for a season-opener following last year’s record crowd of 51,059 for the UCLA game. In 2009 for the inaugural K-State Family Reunion game, a sellout crowd of 50,750 witnessed head coach Bill Snyder’s return to the sidelines with a victory against UMass.
Kansas State’s home opener against Eastern Kentucky, which kicks off at 6:10 p.m., will be broadcast live across the globe in high definition on K-StateHD.TV beginning with K-State Gameday, featuring Mark Simoneau, at 5:15 p.m.    
The athletics ticket office at Bramlage Coliseum will be open from 8:30 a.m., to 5:30 p.m., today and from 1-3 p.m., on Saturday for ticket pickup and reprints. On Saturday, the ticket booth on the west side of Bill Snyder Family Stadium will open at 3 p.m., while the east side ticket office will open at 4 p.m.
Fans can still purchase tickets to the remaining six home contests this season. The most convenient way to order tickets is through the K-State Athletics ticket website, www.k-statesports.com/tickets. Fans can also call 1-800-221-CATS or visit the ticket office inside Bramlage Coliseum.
Fans are also advised by law enforcement officials to allow for extra time on their trip to Manhattan as several major road construction projects in and around the city could impact gameday traffic. The most significant of the projects is the continuing work on K-18 between Ogden and Manhattan on the west side of the city.
Additionally, fans traveling from both east and west to Manhattan on I-70 will encounter road work. East of Manhattan, repair of the bridges spanning Deep Creek Road (mile marker 316) has resulted in traffic being reduced to one lane in each direction over the bridges. West of Manhattan on I-70, pavement is being patched in both the eastbound and westbound lanes at various points from approximately 8 miles east of Abilene to the Geary/Riley County line.

Tribune sports editor Mack McClure’s stadium tip: For fans traveling on I-70 from Great Bend, don’t get off on the Odgen exit en route to Manhattan. Go approximately one mile further down I-70 and get off on McDowell Creek Road (mile marker 307) and head into Manhattan, approximately nine miles away.
This venue will prevent drivers from getting caught up in a massive traffic jam.
