ARKANSAS CITY — It was a struggle from the outset for the Barton Community College women’s basketball team on Saturday night.
Cowley came out early on its way to an 80-38 drumming.
“I have to give Cowley credit,” Barton head coach Carter Kruger said. “They’re a really good team. They played with a lot of purpose and passion, and we couldn’t match their intensity.”
Blair Bloomfield finished with 10 points to lead the Lady Cougars, who were 2-for-20 from 3-point range.
Barton travels to Goodland to challenge Northwest Kansas Tech on Sunday, Dec. 9. The game starts at 3 p.m.
