Lady Cougars to host Butler

The Barton Community College Lady Cougars enter Saturday night’s basketball game against Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Western Division foe Butler with an 11-5 overall mark.
Game time is set for 5:30 at Kirkman Activity Center.
The Lady Cougars are 1-2 in conference action after a 62-44 road setback on Wednesday night to No. 10-ranked Garden City, which is ranked No. 10 in the latest NJCAA poll.
Barton is led by freshman Ashton Bruner, who holds a 10.8 points-per-game average.
The guard from McPherson also leads in rebounds per game (8.0) and steals (36).
Sophomore shooting guard Blair Bloomfield averages just under double figures with 9.8 points per game as Barton’s second-leading scorer.
The Lady Cougars sit in fifth place in the conference standings, with No. 1-ranked Hutchinson in first.
Butler is seventh in the West with a record of 12-4, 0-2.
