PRATT — The Barton Community College Volleyball team solidified its hold on third place in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference and NJCAA Region VI by defeating Pratt in straight sets on Tuesday night.
The Lady Cougars captured the first game 25-11, and pulled away midway through the second to win 25-20.
Barton led throughout the early part of the third game only to have the Lady Beavers battle back to draw within one at 15-14.
The Lady Cougars answered with a 7-3 run to open up the gap, and they maintained the advantage for a 25-19 victory.
The Lady Cougars improve to 11-16 overall, 8-3 KJCCC, while Pratt drops to 7-18, 3-8.
Barton hosts Cloud County Community College on Thursday evening, starting at 6:30 p.m.
