Bombers Baseball, a local non-profit baseball association wrapped up their year with appearances in the NBC Hap Dumont state tournaments last weekend.
“The overall year was a tremendous success with three of the older more experienced groups having very successful campaigns,” said Mike Minton. “ Two teams with a lot of newcomers posted dramatic improvement and end-of-the-year successes.”
11-under – Record 25-15-1. 2-2 at the State Tournament at the Great Bend Sports Complex. Team members included Beau Warden, Conner Delong, Bryan Jaske, Braden Griffith, Solomon Goforth, Karen Kern, Mason Moore, Maddox Spray, Colton Brack, Edwin Chavez, and Kasey Kennedy. Head coach Troy Moore was assisted by Brad Schmitt and Dylan Warden
10-under – Record 44-14. 1-2 at the State Tournament at Wichita. Team members included Peyden Oelger, Ben Nicholson, Brody Schnoebelen, Hunter Herrman, Slade Mohr, Carson Umphres, Owen Kaiser, Wrikin Scobee, Jace Schartz, and Tatum Harper. Head coach Chris Umphres was assisted by Zack Kaiser, Chris Herrman and Darin Schartz.
9-under – Record – 33-8. 3-1 at the State Tournament at Anthony. Team members included Karter Brown, Jaxon Wondra, Daxton Minton, Jacob Hall, Hayden Kelly, Collin Saffa, Koehn Ribordy, Trenton Kern, Kale Kern, Trey Milsap and Ian Premer. Head coach Mike Minton was assisted by Jason Wondra, Todd Milsap, Eli Saffa and Rex Kern.
9-10-under –Record 9-25. went 1-2 at the State Tournament at Wichita. Team members included Wyatt Michaelis, Will Michaelis, Eli Soupiset, Carson Poe, Caleb Shell, Caden Guesnier, Nolan Jacobs, Cooper Gunn, Cohen Gunn, Aiden Davidson, Jack Fleming and Tristan Tomlinson. Head coach Kevyn Soupiset was assisted by Chad Poe, Mike Michaelis and Freddy Gunn.
8-under –Record 8-16-1. Featured several 6-7 year olds. 1-3 at State Tournament at Wichita. Team members included Jaden Prilling, Cal Schartz, Braxton Richter, Eric Jean, Alec Premer, Gavin Wondra, Noah Kaiser, Maxx Steffan, Kaito Richter, Carter Dreiling, Jacob Mazouch, and Kellan Chansler. Head coach Corey Chansler was assisted by Brian Dreiling, Jeff Prilling, Jesse Richter, Mike Mazouch and Nick Richter.
