Panthers, Cardinals, Indians head to golf regionals

GIRLS GOLF REGIONALS

Great Bend, Hoisington and Larned will compete in Monday’s golf regionals. The top four teams and six additional individuals will qualify for state tournaments Oct. 18-19.

5A HAYS – Great Bend Panther Allyson Kaiser (49) placed 11th at Tuesday’s Great Bend Tournament. She’s placed 28th (104) and 41st (119) the past two years at regionals.

3A LAKIN – Hoisington’s runner-up Addy Guthrie (89) led the Cardinals to the Central Kansas League golf title with a 399 score. The Cardinals return 25th-place Ava Henry (200); 35th-place Khloe Schneweis (205); and 46th-place Guthrie (222) from last year’s seventh-place 3-1A state team (827, 412/415) at Cheney.

Larned’s Maddie McMurphy (99) placed fourth at the CKL Tournament.
