VICTORIA — Ellinwood's Reagan Wirtz swept the 100 meters (12.54), 200 meters (26.34), long jump (18-3) and competed with the first-place 1,600-meter relay (4:18.13) to spark the Eagles to back-to-back Central Prairie League track championships.
Ellinwood's girls scored 119 points to edge runner-up La Crosse (105).
Joining Wirtz on the 1,600 relay were Avery Panning, Ayla Ritchie and Eleanor Joiner. The Eagles won the 3,200 relay (10:32.02) with Lexi Thomas, Panning, Ritchie and Jenna Borror.
Ellinwood's other first-place winners were Panning, 300 hurdles (51.86); Joiner, 1,600 (5:40.82) and pole vaulter Lauren Ringwald (7-6).
Central Plains' Aevyn Siemsen won the 400 (1:03.09). Oiler Taylin Davis won the 3,200 (13:17.75).
Otis-Bison high jumper Caitlin Ficken (5-1) placed first.
BOYS DIVISION — Chase's Malik Carson delivered a trio of first-place finishes in the 100 (11.2), 200 (22.85) and long jump (21-1).
St. John's Braxton Alpers won the triple jump (42-0) and joined the first place 400-meter relay (45.64) with Jace Reyes, Jericho Mawhirter and Kaden Foote.
Mawhirter won the 400 meters (51.95).
Central Plains Oiler Broc Klima won the 110-meter hurdles (17.98).
The La Crosse boys (106) won the team title. Ellinwood (67) placed third and Central Plains (64.5) placed fourth.
