Larned's Hagerman qualifies for 3 track events

HOLCOMB — Larned Indian Jayme Hagerman won the triple jump (38-21/2) and qualified for the state track meet in the 100 meters (12.81) and as a member of the 400-meter relay. The Indians placed third (51.8) with Hagerman, Savannah Smith, Jaidyn Pinkston and Halle Barker.

Barker won the long jump (17-23/4). Smith placed third in the 200 (27.04) and Cadee Upson placed fourth in the shot put (34-81/2) to earn berths May 28 at 3A state track at Wichita State.

Larned's Fernando Herrera qualified with a second-place finish in the long jump (21-11/2).
