CENTRAL PLAINS 47, HAYS TMP 41 — Central Plains Oiler Brodie Crites scored 20 points to spark a hard-fought 47-41 non-league basketball victory over Hays Thomas More Prep. Rylan Siemsen added 17 points.

Crites and Siemsen combined for 9-of-9 free throws in the fourth quarter. The No, 4 ranked 1A Div. 1 Oilers outscored the Monarchs 13-7 in the fourth quarter after a 34-34 tie.

Will Eck led TMP with 10 points. The Monarchs outscored the Oilers 21-12 on 3-pointers.

HAYS TMP GIRLS 46, CENTRAL PLAINS 36 — Hays Thomas More Prep's Claire Schippers led a balanced Monarch offense with 11 points to hand the Central Plains girls their third consecutive loss. The Monarchs converted eight 3-pointers to outscore the Oilers 24-9 from 3-point range.

Emery Siemsen scored 13 points to lead the Oilers. The Oiler girls are riding a 3-game losing streak for the first time in school history.
