ST. JOHN — All-stater Emily Ryan contributed 19 points to spark the Central Plains Oilers to a 64-22 Central Prairie League basketball victory.

Delaney Rugan scored 13 points and Kassidy Nixon added 11 points. The Oilers (15-0, 5-0 CPL) have earned a state record 126 consecutive victories, fourth all-time in U.S. girls basketball history. 

St. John (6-8, 0-4 CPL) was paced by Bree Meyer with nine points and a pair of 3-pointers. Erin Crissman added six points.

No. 4 ranked 1A St. John (11-3, 4-0 CPL) had Trey Fisher contribute nine points and three assists in the low-scoring ballgame. Central Plains (5-10, 2-3 CPL) was paced by Jerred Bieberle with eight points and six rebounds. The Oilers converted 9 of 45 field goals.

HAVEN — Haven outscored Hoisington 26-9 down the stretch for a dominating 71-47 Central Kansas League basketball victory over the Cardinals. Hoisington (11-3, 4-1 CKL) was within 45-38, but was outscored 26-9. Drew Nicholson and Mason Haxton each scored 13 points.

No. 2 ranked 3A Haven (14-1, 3-1 CKL) buried the Cardinals with a barrage of 3-pointers. Wyatt Carmichael (17), Quintero (13), Roper (13) and Ryan Jacques (10) scored in double figures.

HAVEN — Haven's girls stormed to a 39-14 halftime lead and roared past Hoisington 53-28 in Friday's Central Kansas League basketball game. The Wildcats featured too much height and skill for the Cardinals. No. 4 ranked 3A Haven (13-2, 4-0 CKL) was paced by Sara Yutzy with 17 points and Faith Paramore with 14 points.

The Cardinals (3-12, 1-4 CKL) were led by Kelsi Dalton with eight points. Hoisington outscored the Wildcats 8-0 in the fourth quarter.
