CHASE — Otis-Bison tailback Logan Thille scored three touchdowns to spark the Cougars past Chase 54-6 in Friday's 8-Man 2, District 8 football victory. Otis-Bison (4-3, 4-1 District) ended the game at halftime.

Bevan Gradig scored on a 58-yard run and a 5-yard pass from Kaden Foust, who completed two touchdown passes. Christian Roth, Dalton Regan and Seth Hoopingarner scored touchdowns. Thille and Dalton Regan intercepted passes. Hoopingarner had seven tackles and two assists.

HOISINGTON — No. 1 2A Hoisington earned payback by routing Phillipsburg 56-28. The Cardinals scored four touchdowns loner than 80 yards. Phillipsburg ended Hoisington’s football season the past two seasons.

Hoisington all-state RB Wyatt Pedigo scored three touchdowns and rushed for 280 yards on 11 carries to surpass 4,000 yards for his career. Cade Mason and Hunter Morris each scored two touchdowns.

Hoisington’s Avery Brewer and Jacob Specht intercepted passes defense and the Cardinals have 26 takeaways in seven games.

Panther quarterback Ty Sides threw for 250 yards and three touchdowns. The Panthers passed for 308 yards.

Central Plains’ William Laymon scored on a 2-yard run after the Oilers scored a safety. Central Plains drops to (2-5, 1-3) and Moundridge (3-4, 2-2) wins a key Eight-Man 1, District 8  game.

ELLINWOOD – Southwestern Heights busted three long touchdown runs to outlast pesky Ellinwood 20-0 in 2A, District 7.

Demetrio Flores scored on a 50-yard run. Sergio Flores scored on a 69-yard dash. Hever Mercado scored on a 20-yard dash.

The Mustangs (4-3, 2-2) clinch a 2A playoff berth and  Ellinwood (2-5, 0-4) is eliminated from the 2A playoffs.

SKYLINE 42, MACKSVILLE 22

MACKSVILLE — Skyline overpowered Macksville 42-22 in an Eight-Man 1, District 5 showdown. Skyline (6-1, 3-1) secures the runner-up spot while Macksville (3-4, 2-2) needs to beat Central Plains Friday to earn a playoff spot.

Macksville's Michael Seward scored three touchdowns. Skyline's Eli Temanson and Jesus Casas each scored two touchdowns. Braden Tyler scored a rushing TD and passed for a score.

Mustang Zane Johnson had 11 tackles and three assists. Cleven Huggins had seven tackles and three assists. Huggins and Harley Blaske recovered fumbles. 

"Skyline's big and physical and they run right at you," said Macksville coach Chet Skinner. "Friday's game was a tough-fought game. We missed open-field tackles and let them get up. We played catch-up the second half. We look to solidify our playoff hopes next week with a win. Central Plains is a well-coached and disciplined team."

HUTCHINSON -- Central Christian quarterback Caleb Lambert scored three rushing touchdowns and passed for three scores in a 62-14 eight-man football victory.

Lambert rushed for 72 yards and threw for 102 yards. Adam Hall caught two TD passes and Adreono Albarra scored for Central Christian (6-1). Stafford (1-6) plays at Satanta (1-6) Friday. 

MOSCOW 51, PAWNEE HEIGHTS 0

MOSCOW -- Moscow tailback Austin Snyder ran wild in a 51-0 playoff clinching victory over Pawnee Heights. The game was delayed two hours by lightning. Moscow (7-0, 4-0) and Pawnee Heights (5-2, 3-1) will advance to the 6-man playoffs.
