The Haysville Aviators’ brother tandem of Livan Reinoso and Dayan Reinoso overpowered the Great Bend Bat Cats for the second consecutive day.
Dayan Reinoso performed the heavy lifting with a homer, double and three RBIs to spark the Aviators to a 7-4 victory over the Bat Cats in Sunday’s Sunflower Collegiate League baseball game. Livan Reinoso drilled three homers for eight RBIs in Saturday’s 11-3 victory. The Reinoso brothers earned all-league baseball honors at Chesapeake College, Md.
Bat Cats starter Jarrett Seaton (2-2) yielded one earned runs in seven innings with four strikeouts. Livan Reinoso and Dayan Reinoso scored on a fourth-inning error and Jake Schaffer singled home Thomas Stevens for a 3-0 lead. Dayan Reinoso doubled home Livan Reinoso in the fifth inning.
Great Bend’s Chandler Bloomer scored on a bases-loaded walk and Brady Michel scored on a passed ball for a 4-2 score after seven innings. Hunter Romero scored on an eighth-inning wild pitch for a 4-3 score.
Dayan Reinoso ripped a two-run homer off reliever Zach Poe after Charles Gordon scored on a ninth-inning error. Bat Cat Daunte Freeman singled home Collin Meinert in the ninth inning.
