HISTORICAL SOCIETY — The Great Bend Bat Cats and Bombers baseball team joined forces for Bat Cats Day and free admission from 1-5 p.m. Sunday at the Barton County Historical Society. 

Great Bend coach Roger Ward, Bat Cats host families and Bombers baseball director Mike Minton enjoyed the afternoon. Community members met with baseball players and explored the museum, which features numerous historical items. 

The Barton County Historical Society welcomes visitors from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 1-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
