EL DORADO – The Great Bend Bat Cats rolled past the El Dorado Broncos 10-4 in Tuesday’s
Jayhawk League baseball game behind four RBIs and a homer by Ben Sems. The Bat Cats return to El Dorado Wednesday.
The Bat Cats (18-16) also featured home runs by Jordan Wilkerson, Peyton Barnes and Hunter Romero. Pitcher Taylor Langston worked seven innings and struck out seven batters.
Wilkerson and Romero homered in the second inning. Sems’ third-inning homer made it 3-0. Sems’ single scored Mateo Zunica, Corrigan Bartlett’s double scored Barnes and Sems for a 6-3 lead. Barnes’ seventh-inning homer gave the Bat Cats a 7-3 lead.
Dawson Pomeroy’s single drove in Brennan Fontenot and Sems’ single drove home Pomeroy and Zunica for a 10-3 lead.
