King directed the Fort Collins Foxes to an 8-7 non-league baseball victory over the Bat Cats. The Bat Cats (12-22) dropped to 2-11 in one-run ballgames.

FOXES 8, BAT CATS 7 (G1) – The Foxes rallied from a 4-1 deficit with four home runs. Carson Green drilled the go-ahead two-run homer off reliever Derek Anderson and Colby Deaville followed with a homer.
Mark Meaville homered for a 1-0 Foxes lead. Bat Cat Hunter Romero singled home Austin McNicholas and Nick Urban-Michalak singled home Andrew Schatz for a 2-1 lead. Brendan Madsen scored and McNicholas drove home Reece Johnson on a sacrifice fly for a 4-1 lead.
Green singled home Trey Pittman and Deaville forced home a run on a walk in the fourth inning. Bat Cat McKay Banks homered for a 5-3 lead.
Pittman drilled a two-run homer to score Mark Meaville. Green followed with a two-run homer that scored Shane Hammel for a 7-5 lead. Deaville added an insurance home run.

BAT CATS 8, FOXES 5 (G2) – The Bat Cats (13-22) rallied from a 5-0 deficit to snap a club record nine-game losing streak that started June 30. Pitcher Marco Gutierrez worked five solid innings and yielded three hits.
The Foxes were handed four runs in the second inning. Colby Deaville, Jerome McKenzie and Tim Fitzgerald scored on errors and Colton Thomas singled home Brian Wircenski for a 4-0 lead. Shane Hammel’s RBI single scored Trey Pittman for a 5-0 lead.
Austin McNicholas drove home McKay Banks for a third-inning run. The Bat Cats scored seven fourth-inning runs. Thomas Alexander forced home Chris Swanberg on a bases-loaded walk. Banks singled home Hunter Romero. Brendan Madsen doubled home Nick Urban-Michalak, Alexander and Banks for a 6-5 lead. Reece Johnson singled home Madsen and Reece Johnson scored on Romero’s sacrifice fly for an 8-5 lead.
