BELOIT 48, HOISINGTON 37

HOISINGTON – Pesky Hoisington played its best game of the season against No. 2 state-ranked Beloit (8-0) in a hard-fought 48-37 non-league basketball loss. Beloit’s 6-foot-6 Bryce Beisner scored 18 points. Lance Lundine and Quincy Eilert each scored seven points.

The Cardinals (3-4) trailed 40-35 on Tony Moore's basket with 3:20 left. Beloit's Eli Johnson scored a basket. Beisner made four free throws and Noah Gerstner added two free throws in the home stretch. 

Hoisington's Mason Martin scored 10 second-quarter points with seven rebounds. Rhen Galla scored a career high 10 points. Galla and Martin converted 3-pointers for a 24-21 halftime score. Jason Robinson scored seven points.
