LINDSBORG – Five students in the Bethany College athletic training program earned recognition from the Kansas Athletic Trainer’s Society (KATS) for their efforts in 2014.
Michael Hlavaty, senior from Olmitz, Kansas, earned first team honors; Samantha McFall, senior from Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Trevor Kistler, junior from Mansfield, Texas, earned second team honors; and juniors Kaylee Martinez, Lyons, Kansas, and Derrick Kaiser, Hoisington, Kansas, were named to honorable mention.
The KATS All-Academic honors go to undergraduate students in athletic training who have distinguished themselves through outstanding academic achievement in an accredited athletic training education program in the state of Kansas. To be considered for recognition, students must be rated by their program director at 4/5 or higher in clinical performances. All of Bethany’s 13 students in the athletic training program were considered for recognition.
