HILLSBORO – Hoisington’s baseball team swept past Hillsboro 15-3 and 9-5 in a Central Kansas League doubleheader Monday.

HOISINGTON 9, HILLSBORO 5 (G1) – Starter Quentin Boxberger struck out six batters in 42/3 innings. Tony Moore recorded the final five outs after Cole Steinert relieved.

Moore was the hitting star with three hits. Holt Hanzlick stole three bases and the Cardinals stole seven bases.

HOISINGTON 15, HILLSBORO 3 (G2) – Winning pitcher Holt Hanzlick struck out six batters and reliever Layton Haxton recorded the final nine outs. Quentin Boxberger led the offense with three hits and Haxton and Hanzlick each delivered two hits.
