HOISINGTON – Hoisington pitcher Tony Moore threw a shutout and the Cardinals closed out a sweep with 15-0 and 6-4 Central Kansas baseball wins over Halstead Friday. The Cardinals (10-6) drop Halstead to 6-10.

CARDINALS 15, HALSTEAD 0 (G1) – Hoisington’s Moore struck out eight batters in a nifty 4-inning outing. Moore and Chase Steinert each drove in three runs. M.J. Aylward drove in two runs. Leyton Haxton, Lane French, Gratton Dalton and Ethan Graff drove in runs.

CARDINALS 4, HALSTEAD 4 (G2) – Hoisington’s French preserved a 6-4 win with a shutout inning.  M.J. Aylward (1-0) worked three innings and drove home two runs. Ethan Grubb scored two runs on errors and doubled home Aylward.
