KINGMAN – Hoisington pitcher Jordyn Boxberger earned both wins for the Cardinals (8-0) in a pair of hard-fought softball games 13-8 and 7-6 over Kingman Monday.
CARDINALS 13, KINGMAN 8 (G1) – Hoisington's Claire Crutcher doubled twice and drove in three runs to lead a 10-hit attack. Tricia Schremmer and Marly Brewer each drove home two runs. Ellie Crawford, Kashlin Beck and Paige Lamatsch drove in one run apiece. Beck and Crawford tripled. Brewer doubled.
The Cardinals built a 13-3 lead before Boxberger (4-0) yielded five seventh-inning runs. Kingman's Laney Wood and Caylor Helm each drove in two runs.
CARDINALS 8, KINGMAN 7 (G2) – Hoisington's Brynn Tarlton tripled and scored on an eighth-inning wild pitch for an 8-7 victory. Kingman's Wood and Teagan Dick delivered RBI singles for a 7-7 tie. Boxberger (5-0) retired the final three Kingman batters.
Tarlton drove home two runs. Brewer, Beck, Kylie Kempke and Paige Lamatsch drove home runs.
Kingman's Wood and Helm drove in two runs. Ryan Schreiner singled four times.

KINGMAN – The Kingman Eagles edged past Hoisington 4-3 and 7-6 in a pair of non-league baseball wins Monday.
KINGMAN 4, CARDINALS 3 – Kingman's Garrett Gattis drew a bases-loaded walk to score Carter Helm for the game-winning seventh-inning run. Pitcher Aiden Hekele (0-1) walked three batters in the seventh.
Hoisington (3-5) forced a 3-3 tie after trailing 3-0. Kingman's Helm, Colby Arensdorf and Gattis delivered RBIs.
Hoisington's Mason Martin singled home Brodie Crites and Lane French. Rhen Galla scored on Tony Moore's fifth-inning double for a 3-3 tie. Second baseman Preston Roat turned a double play.
KINGMAN 7, CARDINALS 6 – Hoisington's Martin doubled and drove home two runs with three hits. French, Galla and Kolter Hahn also drove home Cardinal runs.
Kingman (6-2) erased a 5-4 deficit with a 3-run fifth inning. Collin Schreiner's single scored Bo Watkins. Kade Osborne's double scored Gattis and Schreiner for a 7-5 lead.
