Cardinals' cross country runner-up at Ness City

NESS CITY – Hoisington’s Ian Doss (18:07.7) earned fourth medalist honors and teammate Karter Wolf (18:33.0) placed eighth as the Cardinals finished runner-up to Scott City at Thursday’s Ness City Cross Country Invitational. Scott City (33) edged the Cardinals (34) by one points for first place.

Also counting for the Cardinals were 12th-place Elijah Lewis (18:49.8) and 14th-place Gabriel Hipp (18:53.8).

Hoisington’s top girls medalist was eighth-place Kynlie Crowdis (22:38.6). Scott City (30) won the girls division and Hoisington (58) placed fourth.
