HOISINGTON — Hoisington rolled up 24 runs to steamroll Hillsboro 11-4 and 13-5 in Friday's Central Kansas League doubleheader sweep.

The Cardinals (12-4, 8-4 CKL) drop Hillsboro to 2-14, 1-11 CKL.

CARDINALS 11, HILLSBORO 4 (G1) — Hoisington pitcher Brynn Tarlton (7-3, 3.24 ERA) struck out 10 batters and yielded four earned runs.

Marly Brewer (.404) ripped a 2-run homer and drove in four runs. Tarlton doubled three times and drove home a run. Avery Riese (.412) drove home two runs with three singles.

Reese Vaughn, Reece Aylward and Kelsi Maier each drove home a run.

Hillsboro's Abby Beavers homered and drove in three runs.

CARDINALS 13, HILLSBORO 5 (G2) — Hoisington's Tarlton (.420) stayed red hot with three runs batted home. Brewer and Maier each drove home two runs.

Reese Vaughn (.485), Aylward and Macie Strong each drove in a run.

Pitcher Aubree Martin (5-1, 4.96 ERA) struck out three batters.

Hillsboro's Autum Woods drove in two runs.
