Central Kansa Elite AAU basketball wins championship Great Bends Kody Crosby along with seven others representing the Central Kansa Elite AAU basketball team came home after going 5-0 and winning the Championship of Pools Q-X in the Great American Shootout held in Dallas, Texas. In all there were 153 teams competing. On Saturday Central Kansas Elite defeated A-Game Athletics 65-24, and Pure Prep Academy 76-64. Later on Saturday and Sunday they defeated the Dallas Pacers 59-40, the Dallas Mustangs 61-54 and the KC premiere 71-69. Other players on the team are Cole Kinnamon, Jorge Calleros and Chase Fisher of St John, Devan Stephens of Pratt, Conner VanCleave of Holcomb, Bo Hess of Scott City and Grant Bugbee of Maize. Not pictured: Samson Kohman of Pratt and Nyjee Wright of Derby. Their coach is Scott Bugbee, who is the assistant coach at Maize High. Later in July St. Johns Clint Kinnamon and Bugbee will be coaching the boys together.
