ST. JOHN – The No. 1 ranked Central Plains Oilers placed Brynna Hammeke (19), Jennah Jeffrey (16) and Lexi Oeser (11) in double figures for a 64-40 victory over St.  John for the championship in the St. John Midwinter Classic.

The Oilers led 31-17 at halftime. St. John’s Kaylynn Claussen scored 17 points and Darby Smith added nine points.

ST. JOHN – Sunrise’s Mischa Mikhailov scored 13 points and Justice Keller added 10 points in a 53-35 championship victory over surprising Nickerson in Saturday’s Midwinter Classic.

Matt Crossman scored nine points and Philipe Manga added seven point for Nickerson (2-11).
