Central Plains Oilers win tennis title

The Central Plains Plains doubles teams swept first place to spark the Oilers (27) to first place ahead of Sterling (25) in Thursday's Oiler Tennis Invitational at Great Bend.

Oiler No. 1 doubles Grace Lamatsch/Ryann Metro defeated Ellinwood's Grace Sturtz/Mahra Johnston 8-3 for first place. Oiler No. 2 doubles Eliza Jeffrey/Boston Robison defeated Ellinwood's Vivian Klepper/Shelby Steffan 8-3 in the championship match.

Sterling's No. 1 singles Chelsie Brown defeated Victoria's Aurora Nowlin 8-0 for first place. Sterling's No. 2 singles Danika Bingle-Zimmerman defeated Victoria's Piper Nowlin 8-5 for first place.
