El Dorado Broncos roll past Bat Cats

The El Dorado Broncos finished off the Great Bend Bat Cats with a pair of dominating victories, 16-6 and 21-2 at Al Burns Memorial Field.
The Bat Cats (12-15, 7-14 Jayhawk) return home at 7 p.m. Tuesday to play the Jayhawk League leader Hays Larks.
BRONCOS 16, BAT CATS 6 (Saturday) — El Dorado’s Conner Allen drilled two doubles and a homer to drove home four RBIs. Caleb Littlejim, Tanner Scheutz, Brady Sargent, John Sorensen, Jaret Koin and Austin Toth all contributed two RBIs. The Broncos led 16-0 and pounded out 21 hits against a trio of Bat Cat pitchers.
Brennan Fontenot singled home Reece Johnson in the sixth inning. Gavin Johnson doubled home Thomas Alexander, Reece Johnson and Austin McNicholas in a five-run eighth inning. Andrew Schatz singled home Gavin Johnson. Chris Swanberg singled home Schatz.
BRONCOS 21, BAT CATS 2 (Sunday — El Dorado’s Maddux Solomon homered twice and doubled while driving home six runs against a quartet of Bat Cat pitchers, who yielded 21 hits and 21 runs. Caleb Littlejim drove home four runs.
McKay Banks scored on Reece Johnson’s fifth inning groundout. Austin McNicholas drove home Thomas Alexander on a sacrifice fly.
