ELLINWOOD 50, LYONS 40 – Ellinwood’s Landon Simpson enjoyed his home court with five 3-pointers and 26 points to spark a 50-40 non-league basketball victory over Lyons Friday. Alek Brack added 11 points. The Eagles (8-5) converted seven 3-pointers to outscore the Lions 21-3 from long range.

Ethan Luck led Lyons with 14 points and Xavier Solis added 10 points.

ELLINWOOD GIRLS 42, LYONS 26 – Ellinwood’s Reese Stickney fired up a trio of 3-pointers and 15 second-half points to spark the Eagles past Lyons 42-26 in Friday’s non-league basketball game. Julia Schlessiger scored 11 points, nine in the first half. The Eagles (4-9) converted six 3-pointers.

Lyons’ Mya Fiero scored eight points and Keirah Davis added seven points.
