KINSLEY GIRLS 43, ELLINWOOD 40 – Kinsley's Madison Habiger converted the go-ahead free throws and Mackenzie Herrmann added the clinching free throws in a 43-40 Central Prairie League basketball victory over Ellinwood.
Ellinwood (4-13, 0-7 CPL)'drew within 38-37 on a Bennett Jacobs 3-pointer. The Eagles led 40-39 on Reece Stickney's 3-pointer. After Habiger converted two free throws, Ellinwood missed five chances to take the lead on a field goal, two free throws and three turnovers.
Herrmann scored 18 points and sparked the Coyotes (6-11, 1-4 CPL) with back-to-back steals and layups for a 38-34 lead. Physela Craft scored 11 points.
