LANGDON – Ellinwood's Britton Dutton stayed red hot with 24 points as the Eagles roared past Cunningham 58-37 in Friday's championship game of the Falcon Basketball Classic. Dutton converted four 3-pointers. Drew Heinz scored 17 points with five 3-pointers.
Kpy Behnke dished out six assists. The Eagles converted 23 of 35 field goals for 66% and 10 of 16 on 3-pointers for 62.5%.
Cunningham's Lane Halderson contributed 18 points.

LANGDON – Pretty Prairie's height and athleticism dominated Ellinwood's girls 78-30 in Friday's championship game of the Falcon Basketball Classic. Bulldog Jorah Harbaugh scored 20 points and Bailey Young contributed 19 points. The Bulldogs converted 33 of 57 field goals and seven 3-pointers and placed four players in double figures. The Bulldogs contributed 24 assists and 19 steals.
Ellinwood's Brittany Simpson scored 13 points with five steals. Bella Baker contribute four assists. The Eagles committed 28 turnovers.

LANGDON – Ellinwood’s all-stater Britton Dutton broke the school scoring record with a 48-point outing as the Eagles roared past Lincoln 79-26 at the Fairfield Falcon Basketball Classic. Dutton contributed nine rebounds, five assists and four steals. Dutton broke the 1980 school record held by Kevin Zimmerman with 47 points.
“Brit broke the school record,” said Ellinwood coach Derek Joiner. “I told him next time he was in reach, I’d let him go for it.”
Koy Behnke (12) and Cody Zink (11) scored in double figures. Ellinwood led 27-4 after one quarter and 53-11 at halftime.
The Eagles (3-0) meet Cunningham in Friday’s championship game.

LANGDON – Ellinwood’s Brittany Simpson was on fire with 23 points, four 3-pointers and seven assists to spark a 54-40 victory over Fairfield in Thursday’s Falcon Basketball Classic semifinal. Simpson converted 8 of 18 field goals. Bella Baker showed off her patented “teardrop jumper,” en route to a 14-point night. Kennedy Behnke contributed 13 rebounds.
The Eagles led 29-12 at halftime and stretched the lead to 38-12. Fairfield outscored the Eagles 28-16 in the final 12 minutes. Paisley Smith scored 12 points and Marissa Pugh added 11 points.
