HOISINGTON — Double winners Erin Hammeke and Maddy Ward led the Ellinwood Eagles to the Central Prairie League track championship. Ellinwood scored 120 points to outdistance Kinsley (95) for first place.

Hammeke swept the 1,600 (5:41.64) and 3,200 (12:33.79). Ward swept the shot put (38-111/4) and discus (112-0). Ellinwood’s LaTaja Gray won the 100 (13.25). Ashtin Klepper won the 800 (2:30.44).

Other Central Prairie League track champions were St. John’s double winner Erin Crissman, long jump (15-21/2) and triple jump (32-43/4); Macksville’s Brooke Smith, high jump (5-0); St. John’s Paige Doran, pole vault (9-1); and the Central Plains 3,200-meter relay (10:42.2) with Hannah Redetzke, Callie Zink, Jennah Jeffrey and Monica Short competing.

St. John’s boys swept the 1,600-meter relay (3:36.89) with Trey Fisher, Mason Osborne, Cashe McVey and Joel Ortiz competing; and the 3,200-meter relay (8:44.61) with McVey, Eddy Calleros, Osborne and Fisher running.

Other first-place winners were Macksville’s Karson Waters, 100 (11.71); Macksviille’s Harley Blaske, 300 hurdles (42.96); St. John’s Cashe McVey, 800 (2:08.73); Otis-Bison’s Jayce Kohls, long jump (19-5); and Macksville’s Michael Seward,  pole vault (9-0).

The LaCrosse boys (124) captured first place with Ness City (96) finishing runner-up.
