HUTCHINSON — Ellinwood's Drew Heinz earned a third-place medal (86) at Monday's Nickerson Golf Invitational at Crazy Horse Golf Club. The temperature hit 79 degrees with south winds gusting past 30 mph.
"Mason Moore brought home a top ten finish with a sixth-place medal," said Ellinwood coach Greg Maxwell. "Caleb Robl had a strong round and won the closest to the pin award on the third hole. I'm proud of these golfers. They've worked hard in the first month. They're improving daily and understanding what it takes to have success."
Pratt's Zach Vandervoort shot even-par 72 keyed by three birdies to capture medalist honors. Sterling (369) won the team title paced by runner-up Zach Surface (82).
