ELLINWOOD 66, KIOWA COUNTY 46

GREENSBURG – Ellinwood's teamwork sparked a dominating 66-46 victory over Kiowa County in Thursday's Kiowa County Basketball Tournament. The Eagles (2-1) own two wins and play Pratt-Skyline with a chance to win the tournament.

Center Campbell Coleman enjoyed a career-best night with 18 points and Landon Simpson (17) and Mason Moore (13) scored in double figures. The Eagles passed superbly to open teammates, who converted quality shots. The Eagles outscored Kiowa County 19-9 in the second quarter and 22-12 in the third period.

Kiowa County's Sawyer Campbell scored 16 points.

GREENSBURG – Ellinwood converted seven 3-pointers and Reese Stickney (16) and Regan Widener (13) scored in double figures as the Eagles lost 55-44 to Kiowa County in the Kiowa County Basketball Tournament. 

Kiowa County's MaKenzie Gilkey scored 21 points and Ava Little added 12 points.

HOISINGTON  – Hoisington's Jason Robinson scored a season high 10 points and the Cardinals downed Ellis 45-21 in Thursday's Gene Keady Basketball Classic.

Tony Moore and Randy Chambers each scored eight points for the Cardinals (1-2), who held Ellis to six field goals. Hoisington plays Bucklin for fifth place.

LANGDON  – A pep talk by Otis-Bison coach Jade Winter worked wonders. After trailing 7-0, the Otis-Bison Cougars outscored Lincoln 51-10 to roll to a victory in the Fairfield Falcon Basketball Classic. 

Destiny Mitchell (17) and Emma Bahr (10) scored in doubles figures and Abaigail Rodriguez scored eight points with superb passing and ballhandling. The Cougars outscored Lincoln 43-8 in the final three quarters.

LANGDON  – Fairfield held off Otis-Bison's second-half rally 45-41 in Thursday's Fairfield Falcon Basketball Classic. 

The Cougars (1-2) nearly rallied from a 10-point halftime deficit. Hayden Morrison scored 12 points and Kelson Juno added eight points. Fairfield's Fowler scored 16 points.

Chase's Kaylee Miller scored 20 points with four 3-pointers.
