ELLINWOOD 44, NESS CITY 29 – Ellinwood’s Landon Simpson (17) and Drew Heinz (12) scored in double in a 44-29 Central Prairie League basketball victory over Ness City. Simpson scored 10 first-half points. The Eagles converted four 3-pointers.

Ness City’s Diego  Guzman scored 10 points.

NESS CITY GIRLS 48, ELLINWOOD 33 – A brilliant 16-point by Ellinwood’s Reese Stickney wasn’t enough in a 48-33 Central Prairie League basketball loss to Ness City Tuesday. Bennett Jacobs scored 11 points with a pair of 3-pointers.

Ness City (7-4) was led by Ashlyn Tillotson with 12 points and Tiana Smith added nine points.

DIGHTON 59, OTIS-BISON 31  — Dighton's Daniel Cramer scored 23 points and Carson Shimer scored 22 points as the Hornets raced past Otis-Bison 59-31 in Tuesday's non-league basketball game. 

Hayden Morrison scored eight points and Eston Juno added seven points.

Abigail Rodriguez led Otis-Bison (5-7) with 13 points.

STAFFORD 54, FAIRFIELD 40 — Stafford's Jake Simmons was on fire with 18 points, three steals and three assists in a 54-40 victory over Fairfield in Tuesday's Heart of the Plains showdown.

Brody Kerschenske contributed 13 points and 14 rebounds.
