WAMEGO – Ellinwood’s 2A defending state champion Erin Hammeke (19:43.78) showed she’s in mid-season form with a first-place finish in the 3-2-1A division at Saturday’s Wamego Cross Country Invitational. Hammeke won the state race in 19:12.28 last year.

Ellinwood’s Asher Miller (19:18.41) placed 26th and St. John’s Uriel Calleros (20:03.41) finished 44th in the boys 3-2-1A division at Wamego Country Club.
