GBMS boys suffer first loss of season; GBMS girls sweep

HAYS — The Great Bend Middle School eighth-grade Panthers “A” basketball team suffered their first loss of the season last Thursday at Hays Middle School.
A valiant fourth quarter rally wasn’t quite enough as Hays defeated GBMS 36-31. The “A” team’s record now stands at 6-1 with two home games remaining before the Chirstmas break. The Panthers’ “B” team defeated Hays 36-30 for their second victory of the season.
In girls action, the GBMS “A” team beat HMS 28-5, improving to 7-2 on the season.

In “B” team action, GBMS beat HMS 11-9, improving to 4-5 on the season.
