DODGE CITY — The Great Bend Middle School A and B volleyball teams earned a sweep Monday against Dodge City Middle School and Dodge City Comanche. Both teams improved to 9-0 records.
GREAT BEND A TEAM — The Lady Panther A team trailed 6-2 against DCMS before rallying to win in a hard-fought match 25-19, 25-19.
Well placed serving helped secure the win with Emilee Hall having six aces, followed by Macy Nachtigal with four and Lauryn Davis, Paige Thexton and Makenzie Premer with one apiece.
Strong serving the Panthers past Dodge City Comanche 25-7, 25-15. Nachtigal contributed nine aces with Thexton and Hall each added one ace. Davis, Sadie Spray and Rylee Prilling contributed 16 assists to the offense. Ashton McMillen and Annah Baldwin provided solid defense off the bench.
GREAT BEND B TEAM — The Great Bend B team made quick work of DCMS winning 25-9, 25-11. Brittan Webb had four ace serves followed by Maleigha Ribordy with two and Kaylin Wahlmeier and Taylor Lashley added one apiece.
Strong passing sparked the Panthers 25-14, 25-12 over Dodge City Comanche 25-14, 25-12. Ribordy contributed four aces, Wahlmeier and Lashley each had one ace. Sierra Ferguson deliverd three kills. Webb had two winners and Harley Dougherty delivered one winner.
