Golden Belt Arrows win Wichita basketball tourney

The Golden Belt Arrows basketball team features Coach Cole Neidenthal, Coach Jon Hembree and players Beckim Neidenthal, Clark Hembree, Charlie Hembree, Jack Hembree, Jordan Kitch, Ryan Knop, Cody Knop, Isaiah Robl, Brennan Schaffner, Aiden Schaffner, Landyn Weets and Lincoln Weets.

WICHITA – The Golden Belt Arrows opened their middle school basketball season at the Angels Academy Tournament. The middle school boys defeated the Smoky Valley Eagles 54-16 to start the day. The Arrows defeated the Wichita Angels and the Wichita Defenders in the championship game to capture first place. 

The Arrows were led by their four top players -- Beckim Neidenthal, 49 points, 13 rebounds;  Jordan Kitch, 40 points, 19 assists;  Jack Hembree, 12 points, 19 rebounds; Landyn Weets, 16 points, 14 rebounds.

The Arrows are scheduled to play the Reno County Sabres Tuesday.
