Bombers baseball schedules big weekend 


The local baseball association Bombers Baseball is in the middle of its eighth season of promoting organized baseball in the Golden Belt Area.   

The 2022 season has definitely started with a bang as there have been a total of 13 tournament championships and 10 runner-up finishes amongst the 8 teams that have started.   Combined record of those 8 teams is 108-49-4. 

June 4-5 will feature seven of the nine teams at the Great Bend Sports Complex and Veterans Fields.

Starting in 2015, 33 7-8 year olds on 3 different teams kicked off what has now become 9 teams in 9 different age groups.    


15 UNDER — Coach Chris Umphres. Kicks off season prior to the Bat Cats game at the Great Bend Sports Complex.   Team members—Jace Schartz, Lane French, Owen Kaiser, Carson Umphres, Slade Mohr, Hunter Herrman, Drew Hansen, JJ Grove, Peyden Oelger, Campbell Coleman, Wrikin Scobee.


14 UNDER — Coach Rex Kern, 13-6, 2 tournament championships and 1 runner-up finish. Team members—  Daxton Minton, Jaxon Wondra, Jacob Hall, Max Heilman, Koehn Ribordy, Trenton Kern, Kale Kern, Trey Milsap, Collin Saffa, Tavon Stroup, Ian Premer and substitute Hayden Kelly.


13 UNDER —  Coach Todd Gilkison, 9-8-1, 1 tournament championship and 1 runner-up finish. Team members— Sebastian Bujanda, Zach Hart, Kobe Crawford, Gavin Gilkison, Alex Alcala, Rafael Chavez, Cohen Gunn, Trace Tudor, Banks Jacobs, Landon Charles


12 UNDER — Coach Zack Kaiser, 15-4-1, 2 tournament championships and 2 runner-up finishes. Team members—Jaden Prilling, Cal Schartz, Braxton Richter, Maxx Steffan, Alec Premer, Gavin Wondra, Noah Kaiser, Cade Coleman, Spencer Brown, Drake Martin, Gage Grove


11 UNDER — Coach Brian Dreiling, 24-6, 3 tournament championships and 2 runner-up finishes. Team members— Carter Dreiling, Kellan Chansler, Julian Hernandez, Christian Alcala, Kade Thexton, Jakoby Council, Brayden Herrman, KJ Cell, Carter Schmidt, Jayden Crawford, Keaton Cass.


10 UNDER — Coach Kenton Meyer, 17-7-2, 2 tournament championships and 2 runner-up finishes. Team members—Cohen Haberman, Reid Urban, Julian Montez, Kason Stone, Brody Braymer, Kamden Wood, Jordy Meyer, Breck Stroup, Aiden Graves, Liam Tolan, Colton Staudinger.


9 UNDER — Coach Kris Sundahl, 10-6, 1 runner-up finish. Team members—Sebastian Linenberger, Brady Karlin, Sakston Herrera, Blake Mazouch, Dylan Sundahl, Carter Deiser, Jacoby Chrest, Conner Schwamborn, Jackson Schwamborn, Kamden Murphy, Westin Meyer.


8 UNDER — Coach Clint Pangburn, 19-4, 3 tournament championships and 1 runner-up finish. Team members—Easton Pangburn, Camryn Gaddis, Jagger Maciel, Kade Chansler, Aldo Council, Jaxon Pelster, Colson Kelly, Cooper Dreiling, Zander Holinde, Wyatt Holquin, Max Trujillo, Diego Perez.


7 UNDER — Coach Rich Baskerville, 1-8 in 8 under tournaments. Team members—Nolan Chrest, RJ Baskerville, Landon Becker, Felix Hernandez, Grant Pelster, Callan Herrera, Cohen Herrera, Colin Stroup, Gabriel Ringo, Rowley Burkes, Jase Palser, Crew Wells.

Each of the teams will continue action through the middle of July.
