OTTAWA — The Garnett Muddogs rallied from a 5-0 deficit for a 6-5 victory over the Great Bend Braves in Sunday’s Ottawa Wood Bat Baseball Tournament.

The Braves (1-5) had beaten the Muddogs 11-0 earlier in the tournament.

Brad Beck singled home Jade Poe in the first inning. Brody Feist singled home Stefan Spray in the second frame. A three-run fourth inning made it 5-0. Mathew Moeder and Feist scored on an error. Sage Koelsch scored on a passed ball.

The Muddogs rallied. Tyler Denny scored on a passed ball. Lane Bahnsen doubled home Bo Dillinger and Dalton Kellerman. Reese Jarett scored on a bases-loaded walk for a 5-4 score.

Bahnsen’s single scored Dilliner for a 5-5 tie. Josh Stifter scored on Carter Edgecomb’s perfect sqqueze bunt for the game-winning run.

BRAVES 11, GARNETT 0 (G1) – Braves pitchers Joseph Moeder and Jade Poe combined for a two-hit shutout.

Poe delivered a two-run double to score Sage Koelsch and Chayse Gruber in a six-run second inning that featured four walks, a hit batter and an error. Koelsch’s single drove home Stefan Spray.

Esten Moore singled home Joseph Moeder and Koelsch singled home Mathew Moeder in a four-run fourth inning. Brody Feist, Moore and Spray scored on wild pitches.

IOLA 9, BRAVES 2 (G2) – Iola scored seven runs in the seventh-inning to break a 2-2 tie. Iola delivered four singles and the Braves contributed six walks in the seven-run inning off pitcher Stefan Spray.

Poe scored on Spray’s fourth-inning sacrifice fly. Brad Beck’s double scored Mathew Moeder in the sixth inning for a 2-2 tie.
